Tasted blind. Both red and dark fruits on the nose. Bags of fresh acidity here and a very firm tannin structure as well - the tannins need to settle. Zesty freshness comes through on the racy finish.

Stacks of ripe blackberry and blueberry fruit, but bright and fresh, the full-bodied palate well anchored by the firm, healthy, moderately dry tannins. A cuvee of 60% grenache, 25% mourvedre and 15% syrah from north- and west-facing high-altitude vineyards. Drink or hold.

A fleshy and ripe red, with plenty of graphite mineral notes propping up the juicy cherry and plum flavors. Snappy acidity keeps this focused and pure through the finish, which is flecked with dried herbs, warm earth, and juniper and held tight with firm tannins for slight grip. Well-done. Grenache, Mourvèdre and Syrah. Drink now through 2030.

Juicy, up front black fruits, pepper, spice, and some Provençal garrigue notes all define the 2022 Cairanne Les Hautes Rives, a medium-bodied, round, supple, incredibly charming, and balanced effort. Based on 60% Grenache, 25% Mourvèdre, and 15% Syrah hitting 14.5% alcohol, it will evolve nicely for a decade.
