    "En flydende, mystisk kompleks blomstret essens": Robert Parker. Forskellige smagere finder en myriade af indtryk: pære, blomster, akaciehonning, mandarin, mango, abrikos kokosmel, ingefær, mint, ristet nød og ahornsirup…. Det hele er pakket ind i en utroligt balanceret struktur, som holder styr på rige mineraler, 259 g. restsukker / l. og hele 9,4 g. vinsyre / l. fra et høstudbytte på blot 9 hl./ha. fra de 43-årige vinstokke. Den er høstet drue for drue med botrytis* af høj kvalitet.
    Denne dybt usædvanlige vin vil fortsat udvikle sig i årtier. Har man en mærkedag i 2050'erne, skal den nok være lige så uforglemmelig til den tid.

    Made it slowly and barely to 7% alcohol, but the estateÆs vintage collection û not to mention any who eventually get to taste it û will have been greatly enriched by its having managed to officially become wine. A haunting nose of narcissus, chamomile, rowan, heliotrope and mint further hints at the pear drops, maraschino liqueur, honey and maple syrup, that thereafter viscously and lingeringly coat the palate. Hints of pear pip and toasted nut piquancy along with shimmeringly stony impingements and yeasty notes that may well dissipate before bottling, serve as a welcome not to mention fascinating counterpoint. The reprise of liquefied, mysteriously complex floral essences wafts past the point where the urge to take the next sip becomes irresistible. Olivier Humbrecht points out that this elixirÆs concentration of acidity û as well as minerality û go significantly beyond what he has ever before witnessed from Pinot Gris at the hands of extreme botrytis and calcareous soil. Expect 3-4 decades of delight.
