94 p. Chardonnay Clos Windsbuhl, Zind-Humbrecht

“Tightly wound and sleek, this is an extremely minerally chardonnay. Stacks of Amalfi lemon zest aroma. So focused on the medium-bodied palate that it’s almost steely. Extremely long, racy finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Vinified in old demi-muid oak casks. Drink or hold. “

94 p. Auxerrois Rotenberg, Zind-Humbrecht

“Never tasted an exciting wine from the auxerrois grape? Then try this. It shows fresh pineapple, dried flower and floral honey aromas. Very silky on the medium-bodied palate, with underlining chalky minerality that gives it excellent tension. Very long, positively warm finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

91 p. Pinot Blanc Alsace, Zind-Humbrecht

“Brimming with mandarin orange and pear aromas, this is barely medium-bodied but with some density on the mid-palate. Elegant and animating finish with candied citrus character. Just under 12% alcohol. A 50-50 cuvee of pinot blanc and auxerrois. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now.”

93 p. ZIND, Zind-Humbrecht

“The fascinating smoky and flinty character is married to ample candied citrus and crisp pear aromas. Long, focused and wellstructured finish with chalky minerality. This is just beginning to show what it’s made of. A cuvee of two-thirds chardonnay and onethird auxerrois. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

96 p. Muscat Goldert, Grand Cru, Zind-Humbrecht

“Still very young, this unusually elegant dry muscat has fantastic interplay of salty minerality and restrained richness. Great concentration and extremely fine tannins on the texturally complex, medium-bodied palate. Very long finish with a positive hint of bitterness. Really needs some time in the bottle. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2027.”

92 p. Muscat Turckheim, Zind-Humbrecht

“This cool and elegant dry muscat has beautiful citrus blossom aromas and delicacy of flavor on the sleek, light- to medium-bodied palate that’s hard to resist. So lively and uplifting. Pristine finish. Just 11.5% alcohol. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now.”

99 p. Riesling Rangen de Thann Clos Saint Urbain, Grand Cru, Zind-Humbrecht

“Gigantic concentration, elegance and finesse. The smokiness floats like a cloud over the deep dark waters of this unique wine. The spiciness is so delicate and fascinating, and although the texture is super silky, the dark minerality gives this an almost supernatural intensity in the finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”

99 p. Riesling Brand, Grand Cru, Zind-Humbrecht

“This giant of granitic minerality creeps up on you, the crushed rocks and minerals building dramatically as it flows over the medium- to full-bodied palate. Incredible intensity of fresh pineapple, star fruit, fresh mint and basil aromas is married to delicate creaminess and racy acidity that make this so exciting in the super-focused finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”

98 p. Riesling Hengst, Grand Cru, Zind-Humbrecht

“Power and purity seem effortlessly interwoven in this densely minerally and incredibly focused dry riesling. The energy and vitality of this medium- to full-bodied wine are off the scale. It really needs time for the citrus and stone fruit aromas to open up, but it’s already very exciting. From the eastern side of this site that faces the Black Forest with shallow and stony soil. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2027.”

98 p. Riesling Wineck-Schlossberg, Grand Cru, Zind-Humbrecht

“If you like sleek dry whites with enormous expression, then you won’t be able to resist this diamond-bright yet incredibly juicy dry riesling. Gigantic crushed rock minerality and super-racy acidity. Almost perfect balance in the incredibly long, focused finish. From five small plots of more than 50-year-old vines in this great but underrated site. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

97 p. Riesling Sommerberg, Grand Cru, Zind-Humbrecht

“The tension between the ripe peach aromas and the brilliant acidity makes this a very exciting dry Alsace riesling. Extremely straight and racy. I love the smoky note that’s intertwined with the succulent fruit flavors, building in the very long, silky and refined finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

96 p. Riesling Clos Windsbuhl, Zind-Humbrecht

“The flinty minerality of this compact and tightly wound dry riesling is absolutely extraordinary. This, the sleekness and the very racy acidity on the medium-bodied palate make it unique in Alsace. The Mirabelle plum fruit emerges very slowly. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2027.”

96 p. Riesling Clos Häuserer, Zind-Humbrecht

“The toasty lees character and generous peachy fruit are wound around a very firm core on the medium- to full-bodied palate of this concentrated and very well-structured dry Alsace riesling. This really needs some time to open up. Very zesty and chalky finish that’s still tightly wound. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”

95 p. Riesling Roche Volcanique, Zind-Humbrecht

“A wealth of delicate spicy aromas pulls you into the surprisingly elegant, medium-bodied palate of this wine that gracefully washes over you, at once delighting with its stone fruit aromas and refreshing with its lively acidity and touch of salinity. Limited production, entirely from young vines in the Grand Cru Rangen. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

95 p. Riesling Heimbourg, Zind-Humbrecht

“Still tightly wound, but with stunning elegance on the concentrated, medium-bodied palate, which has fabulous yellow peach aromas and refined chalkiness. Then comes the extraordinary freshness in the dynamic yet refined finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

95 p. Riesling Roche Calcaire, Zind-Humbrecht

“This generous dry riesling has great structure and pronounced chalky minerality on the compact, medium-bodied palate. Intense citrus aromas and drive. Very long, energetic finish that suggests this has excellent aging potential. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

95 p. Riesling Roche Granitique, Zind-Humbrecht

“Incredible wet-stone minerality and great peach and candied pineapple aromas plus a haunting wild herb note make this a very exciting dry riesling. In fact, it tastes like a serious single-vineyard wine. Fantastic balance right through the very long finish. Only 12.5% alcohol. Mostly from young vines in the Grand Cru Brand. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

92 p. Riesling Turckheim, Zind-Humbrecht

“A well-structured, barely medium-bodied dry riesling with plenty of citrus and floral aromas. A touch of tannin neatly interlocks with the saline minerality. Generous, juicy and straight finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now.”

100 p. Pinot Gris Rangen de Thann Clos Saint Urbain, Grand Cru, Zind-Humbrecht

“The brain-rattling concentration, smokiness and flinty energy of this unique dry pinot gris don’t fit in any box on this planet. Definitely not full-bodied, but how could you say it is mediumbodied with this intensity of expression? In spite of the power, it shoots almost weightlessly up into the heavens and pulls you with it. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2027.”

98 p. Pinot Gris Clos Windsbuhl, Zind-Humbrecht

“How could a dry pinot gris be more radically cool and focused than this mind-blowing wine? The freshness and concentration are equally dangerous. Either you will think this is absurd or it will be a revelation for you. I love the silky texture that makes this so hard to resist in the extremely long, super-subtle finish. Under 13% alcohol. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2026.”

96 p. Pinot Gris Rotenberg, Zind-Humbrecht

“Smoky and flint, this is an intensely minerally, bone-dry pinot gris. Hard to say what weight this has, because it is powerful yet so incredibly fresh. This has astonishing energy on the racy and driving finish that must be tasted to be believed. Try to be patience, because this is a ticking flavor bomb. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2027.”

96 p. Pinot Gris Heimbourg, Zind-Humbrecht

“Off-the-scale salinity with great energy and drive, this is a very unusual Alsace pinot gris. Bone dry and very focused, but with richness on the middle of the medium- to full-bodied palate. Really needs some time. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drinkable now, but best from 2027.”

95 p. Pinot Gris Roche Volcanique, Zind-Humbrecht

“The first impression of this excellent pinot gris is wild, flinty and smoky, but the Mirabelle plum and grilled grapefruit aromas expand quickly. Very dynamic and driving on the medium- to fullbodied palate. Super-clean finish that’s stridently minerally. From young pinot gris vines in the Grand Cru Rangen. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

94 p. Pinot Gris Roche Calcaire, Zind-Humbrecht

“An emphatically dry Alsace pinot gris with ripe yellow apple and melon aromas, ample substance and excellent freshness. Less than 12% alcohol, which really makes this dance on the medium-bodied palate. Excellent length. Almost 100% from vines planted in the early 1990s at Clos Windsbuhl. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

95 p. Gewurztraminer Clos Windsbuhl, Zind-Humbrecht

“Super fresh for the gewurz grape but with a hint of sweetness, this is charming. The underlying richness on the medium-bodied palate gives it a wonderful texture. Very long, elegant finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”

92 p. Gewurztraminer Turckheim, Zind-Humbrecht

“I love the juicy, exotic fruit and flower aromas of this rather succulent, medium-bodied Gewurz. The touches of bitterness and licorice are well integrated in the dry finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink now.”

92 p. Gewurztraminer Roche Calcaire, Zind-Humbrecht

“A fresh and animating gewurz that has plenty of substance, but almost none of the bitterness that this variety is famous for. Lots of pomelo and yellow grapefruit aromas, plus a touch of something floral. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.”
